Played Rome: Total War, a game that is older than this, but works fine in Windows 10, which upset me more about this not working.ġ0. Deleted a folder in the game files (someone in the steam forums said it would help, and I don't remember what the folder's name was), it didn't change anything.ĩ. "Refresh your Steam files" Followed the instructions to do this, still no change.Ĩ. ![]() Contacted Sega support (Relic website takes you there), who told me to verify the game cache, run the game in compatibility mode, and:ħ. Deleted the game and downloaded it again.Ħ. Checked that all my computer drivers were up to date.ĥ. Ran the game in compatibility mode (for several different versions of windows)Ĥ. I verified the integrity of the game cache (multiple times)Ģ. There are no error messages, it just doesn't start.ġ. Steam says that I've just played the game, but I haven't even seen a loading screen. I click on the game and steam puts up the "preparing to launch" window, then after a few moments it disappears and nothing happens. But, when I upgraded to Windows 10 it stopped working. I bought this game for me and a friend several months ago when I was still using Windows 8.1, and it worked fine. ![]()
